Stories, Magic, & Anime
Breaking down magic systems that actually make sense, anime power scaling that hits different, and fantasy that lives in my head rent-free.

The Rage of Dragons
by Evan Winter
So I just finished this and I need to get some things off my chest. It's really cool seeing a Black main character in a fantasy setting that isn't just medieval Europe with a paint job. The Omehi feel like their own culture. Tau is a Low Common who decides to become the most dangerous man alive after his father gets murdered. The training arc in the demon realm? Insane. Just know it's gonna hurt you.

"This man is ANGRY. The training montages are brutal and I'm here for it. Tau is too stubborn to die."

Stopped at Ch. 13"Tried the audiobook 3 times. Cool moments (Corban + giant wolf go hard) but it just didn't pass the vibe check. No idea why."
